Privacy policy

Last updated: 21 October 2026

This policy explains how we collect and use your personal data when you visit www.altiorae.com or buy from us, in line with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1. Data controller

This website (www.altiorae.com) is operated by ALTIORA, a sole trader business (micro-entreprise) registered in France, trading under the brand Altiorae ("we", "us", "our").

Email: contact@altiorae.com

2. Data we collect

  • Order data: name, email, phone number, delivery and billing address, products ordered, order history.
  • Payment data: payments are handled by our payment providers (Shopify Payments, PayPal); we do not store your full card details.
  • Communications: emails and messages you send us.
  • Browsing data: device and browser information, IP address, pages viewed and interactions, collected through cookies and similar technologies.
  • Marketing: your email or phone number if you sign up for our emails or text messages.

3. Why we use your data and on what legal basis

  • To process, deliver and follow up your order and handle returns and customer service — performance of the contract.
  • To meet our accounting, tax and legal obligations — legal obligation.
  • To prevent fraud and secure our website — legitimate interest.
  • To measure and improve our website and advertising — legitimate interest or consent where required.
  • To send you marketing emails or texts — consent, which you can withdraw at any time (unsubscribe link in every message).

4. Who we share it with

We only share your data with service providers who need it to run our business: Shopify (website and checkout hosting), payment providers (Shopify Payments, PayPal), our supplier and carriers (to prepare and deliver your order), Klaviyo (emails and texts), ParcelPanel (order tracking), Meta (advertising measurement) and Microsoft Clarity (website analytics). We never sell your personal data.

Some of these providers, including our product supplier, are located outside the European Economic Area. Where this is the case, transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.

5. How long we keep it

Order data is kept for as long as needed to manage your order and any claim, and for the period required by accounting and tax law (up to 10 years for invoices). Marketing data is kept until you unsubscribe, or for 3 years after your last contact with us. Browsing data is kept for a maximum of 13 months.

6. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to make the website work (cart, checkout), to measure its audience and to measure our advertising. You can delete or block cookies at any time in your browser settings; blocking some cookies may affect how the website works.

7. Your rights

You have the right to access, correct and delete your data, to restrict or object to its processing, to data portability, and to withdraw your consent at any time. To exercise these rights, email us at contact@altiorae.com. We reply within one month.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority: the Data Protection Commission in Ireland (www.dataprotection.ie) or the CNIL in France (www.cnil.fr).
